The problem
Operators built each voyage’s boarding list by hand from passport details, under time pressure at the gate. Every typo had to be found and fixed before departure.
What I built
A Next.js boarding console on Lark Base. Operators find a passenger by passport in real time, validation catches mistakes while the passenger is still at the counter, and passenger and voyage data feed the boarding list automatically.
The outcome
Boarding-list preparation time fell by 60% and manual input errors by 40%. The list it prints is IMO-compliant.
How it works
- 01Passportreal-time search across passenger records
- 02ConsoleNext.js, validation on entry
- 03Lark Basepassengers and voyages
- 04Manifestan IMO-compliant boarding list
Details
- Real-time passport search across passenger records.
- Validation rules that catch errors at the counter, not at departure.
- Automated passenger retrieval and voyage tracking.
- Boarding lists generated from the data instead of typed.
